ClipperRefresh (“we”, “us”), 101 East Lancashire Road, Lowton, WA3 2BE, is the data controller for the personal information described below. This policy explains what we collect when you use our clipper-sharpening service, why, and what rights you have over it under UK GDPR.
What we collect
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your postal address, for return delivery of your serviced clippers and, where relevant, collection
- Order and payment history (what you ordered, when, and confirmation that payment succeeded)
- Any message you send us via the contact form or by email
Why we collect it
We use this information only to provide the service you’ve asked for: taking your order, arranging postage or collection of your clippers, returning them once serviced, taking payment, keeping you updated on order status, and responding to any query you raise. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for anything beyond running this service and the account you hold with us.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party processors to run the service. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Stripe — processes your payment. We never see or store your card details ourselves.
- Royal Mail — purchases and fulfils postage labels for parcels sent to and from us, using the address and phone number you provide.
- Resend — sends transactional emails on our behalf (order confirmations, sign-in links, status updates).
- Vercel and Neon — host our website and database. Your data is stored on their infrastructure under their own data-processing terms.
We do not share your information with anyone else, and never for marketing purposes without your separate consent.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for as long as needed to meet our accounting and tax obligations (normally six years), and account details for as long as your account remains open. If you ask us to delete your account, we’ll remove what we can while keeping only what we’re legally required to retain.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you; correct it if it’s wrong; delete it where we’re not required to keep it; or restrict or object to how we use it. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@clipperrefresh.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we’ve mishandled your data.
